Benjamin has Bachelor in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo -
São Carlos. For his Master's work he is, broadly speaking, interested in investigating the statistical mechanical description of biological interactions, establishing connections between local mechanisms and large scale behaviors and patterns.

Juliana Pirolla (Undergraduate Student; 2020 --)

Juliana is a physics undergraduate student at Universidade Federal de São Carlos - UFSCar with research interests focused on theoretical physics, complex systems and mathematical biology.

Gabriel has a Bachelor in physics from Universidade Federal de Paraná (Brazil) and a Master and PhD in Physics from the Instituto de Física Teórica (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Since his masters, his research has focused on population ecology. In particular, he is interested on several aspects of population dynamics in space. One of the main questions he has been trying to answer is how movement behavior in heterogeneous space affects populations persistence and spread. Reaction-diffusion models have been his main investigation tool.

Vivian Dornelas (Postdoctoral Researcher; 2020 --)

Vivian has a Bachelor in Physics from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF, Brazil), and a Master and Ph.D. in Physics from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, Brazil). Her master research focused on modeling opinion dynamics in complex networks. For her Ph.D. studies she switched topics and worked on pattern formation in biological systems, both in homogeneous and heterogeneous landscapes, applying techniques of non-linear dynamical systems. Her research interests include topics in complex systems with application to biological problems, such as population dynamics and pattern formation.
